Tangem said on Oct. 13, 2026 that USDC held in Tangem Pay can now be paid out as US dollars to a US bank account. NFA.
Announcement Details
Tangem posted the update on X. The post described how balances in the payment account can reach US banks through standard transfer methods. This change went live on that date and applies where the feature appears in the app.
Supported Networks
The payouts cover USDC on Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Users stay within those chains when initiating a transfer from Tangem Pay. The setup keeps the process inside the same app interface.
Recipient Choices
Senders can direct funds to their own account. They can also choose someone else's personal account or a business account. The receiving bank must sit inside the United States even if the recipient address lists another country.
Transfer Rails
Each payout lets the user pick ACH or FedWire. Selection happens at the time of the request. Confirmation requires a physical tap on the Tangem hardware card before the order proceeds.
Steps in the App
Users open the Withdraw section. They select bank transfer and enter the amount along with recipient details. A review screen appears next. After that step the order moves forward once the card tap completes.
Availability Notes
The option shows only for accounts verified in countries where the service runs. Users outside those regions do not see the choice yet. The help center lists these limits clearly.
Wallet Connection
Funds can move from Tangem Pay back into the original Tangem Wallet. Both USDC and USDT support this route. The wallet itself remains non-custodial while Tangem Pay functions as a separate payment account inside the app.
Practical Use
The feature gives users a direct path from holdings to a standard bank. It works for personal needs or payments to others. The card tap adds a hardware step that keeps control with the account holder.
The update fits the pattern of Tangem building payment tools that link crypto balances to everyday banking rails without extra layers.
